According to a lawsuit reported by Dataconomy, a Wyoming woman, identified in the complaint as Jane Doe 4, alleges that her stepfather used xAI's Grok chatbot to create sexually explicit images of her when she was a child. The lawsuit says more than 7,000 fake explicit images were created, and that one was made from a photo taken when she was 11. The source says law enforcement later raided the stepfather's devices for child sexual abuse material and that he was found dead two days later. Jane Doe 4 joined three teenagers in an earlier class action in Tennessee. California's attorney general and the European Union have separately opened probes into xAI and X over alleged child sexual abuse material generation. These are allegations in a complaint and press reporting; no ruling is reported.
