A user of Grok, the chatbot developed by xAI and integrated into X, allegedly used it to create AI-generated child sexual abuse images. The case began when a cyber tip was submitted through Grok. xAI employees reviewed 29 AI-generated images before reporting them to NCMEC. Investigators traced the X account to a 25-year-old Parkland man and served a search warrant. Investigators allege the images were created from photographs of real children, including children with whom the man had close contact. The charges are allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
