A Tesla Model 3 that a Clinton police report says was on autopilot was leaving a parking lot when it struck Dream Dance Studio in Clinton, Tennessee. The driver told officers she went to brake to turn onto Market Street, but the car kept going and accelerated into the building. The impact sent bricks, glass and concrete through the studio, and a class had been moved out of the room minutes before. Police said three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Classes resumed the next day, while the studio waited on insurance and engineers before full repairs. Police were reviewing the crash report and how autopilot was being used when the car hit the building. The cause of the acceleration is not established in the sources.
