Police in Peachtree City, Georgia say a man allegedly used AI software to digitally manipulate real photographs of a child he knew into pornographic images. The photographs were allegedly taken between the ages of 12 and 19. Officers served a search warrant at his home and seized his phone and other electronic devices. Investigators say they uncovered thousands of photos, and he has been charged with 49 counts, one per confirmed image. He was arrested and booked on those counts and has since been released on bond. Police said investigators do not believe there are additional victims. The case remains under investigation as law enforcement analyzes the seized devices. The reporting does not describe the AI software, its developer, or any failure of safeguards.
