A Porsche sales consultant in Qingdao, Mu Qianwen, became the target of an online smear campaign that included sexually explicit AI-generated videos. Early in 2025 she discovered that someone had spread a sexually explicit rumor about her on an overseas social media platform, posting a fabricated video and audio recording using a different woman as “proof.” In October 2025 the material escalated on WeChat, combining her sales poster with footage of another woman, alongside demeaning AI-generated videos. Her phone number was leaked and she received harassing calls. She filed police reports and 31 complaints to Douyin between October 2025 and April 2026. Police identified a man in Fujian behind one AI-generated video; he received 10 days of administrative detention in October 2025. She filed a civil lawsuit seeking an apology.
